A LOVE LETTER TO THE STEEL CITY

In 2017 the Pittsburgh Riverhounds reached out to have me rebrand the club. The team had a cartoon dog that they wanted to replace with a modern, soccer-feeling look that focused on representing the city of Pittsburgh itself. After visiting the city for research and inspiration, the design went through a number of iterations before landing on the final look, which debuted in February of 2018. Shown here are some views of the process, the final brand, and some of the applications the club asked me to design, along with photos of the finished products in the wild.
